One of the popular areas to live in the Lake Almanor area is the Lake Almanor Country Club (LACC). Commonly called "The Peninsula" because of its shape, it's home to about 1200 residences. A good portion of these homes are vacation-2nd homes. It is a gated community, has security, and a home owner's association costing $1039 for 2008.
Amenities include a 9 hole golf course costing $26 for members, $34 for guests, and $38 for non-guests. There are tennis courts, two boat launching facilities, a swimming area, and a park with barbecue pits and picnic tables. There is an amphitheater at the park where summer concerts are held.
There are several lake front homes that rim the peninsula. Prices for lake front homes range from $950,000 to $2,000,000 or higher. Many come with docks allowing easy access for boating or fishing. Prices in LACC generally range from $300's to $900's. Many homes have lake views. LACC being a relatively small area allows everyone to get to any activity in less than 10 minutes.

2008 Summer Bandshell Program
July 6 -The Fabulous Swing Kings-Our perennial opener, presenting our 4th of July program with pizzazz.
July 13 - Jeff Leep and the World's Most Dangerous Party Band-Nuff said!
July 20 - Rube and the Rhythm Rockers-A new blues band with a wealth of old experience. July 27 - City Rocks-A San Francisco rock revue - Music of the 60's 70's and 80's.
August 3 - Hot Flash-Rock and Roll band from Chico - all girls, if you can only pick one, this is the one! You will be glad you made it, we promise!
August 10 - Golden Bough Celtic trio - traditional and original British Isles music.
August 17 - Rock SlideA quartet that rocks, with a great sound.
August 24 - Lisa Haley and the Zydecats-High energy Cajun, with plenty of hot sauce!
August 31 - The Reno Big BandA night of listening and dancing to that great sound!
These are the dates of the concerts at the Lake Almanor Country Club. Join in on the fun recreational activities, swim area, basketball courts, playground, and more.
